Human consumers of emu oil have been drastically on the increase the last few years and in South Africa, a new trend was developed: emu oil for animals. Veterinarians in the USA and Australia have been using the oil with great success for the last four years.
It has been very successful in the treatment of scars, cuts and sutures because of the anti-inflammatory ingredients in the oil, the deep penetration and the ability to heal wounds and scars.
Horses are prone to develop scar tissue. If applied regularly to the granulation tissue of these horses, the oil will reduce this scar tissue.
Wounds heal faster, fewer scars remain and hair regrowth is faster.
Apply the oil externally twice daily on sore muscles and joints. It works well for scab and itchiness on dogs and it reduces the appearance of tics and fleas.
When taken orally it relieves arthritis and muscle pains. It promotes the general health of the animal and gives them a beautiful shiny coat.
